Jeni Aron MHC-LP

Jeni holds a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Brooklyn College and joins Suite 14 from her previous work at the Gay Men’s Health Crisis.  She specializes in LGBTQ+ health and wellness and works with individuals from adolescence through late adulthood. Her areas of specialization include work with individuals struggling with self-esteem (particularly for LGBTQ+ community members), gender identity exploration and returning to the dating world after long periods of being single,  Her skills address a range of challenges including depression, anxiety, questions of identity, relationships, and life transitions. 

Jeni’s therapeutic style integrates Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and psychodynamic theory to guide her clients towards relief and opportunities for change. Her approach is client-centered, supporting individuals to build upon their strengths to explore their fears, doubts, goals, and desires in a non-judgmental space.

Jeni brings warmth, thoughtfulness, and a sense of humor to her work, collaborating with her clients to discover which treatment will be the most successful in reaching their goals.
